Formally known as the "Navigation Pavilion," Casa dos Barcos is a piece of living Azorean heritage. Inspired by Nordic Anglo-Flemish architecture, it stands within the magnificent Mata-Jardim José do Canto - designed by renowned French landscape architect Barrillet-Deschamps in the mid-19th century.
Situated on the largest island of the Azores, São Miguel, the house sits at the water's edge of Lagoa das Furnas. Ancient camellia rows bloom December to April, and the Vale dos Fetos fern valley lies just beyond the garden gate.
